Teresa M. Kleffel, 61, passed away on October 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Teresa built a life centered on hard work, devotion to those she loved, and a spirit that embraced both everyday joys and special adventures. She worked for many years in the restaurant industry, beginning as a waitress and steadily working her way into management through dedication and determination. Later, she became a car sales associate and discovered a true passion for the work. Most recently, she worked for Krouse Toyota, a place she loved and where she found a work family she cared for deeply.
Outside of work, Teresa found happiness in the simple and meaningful moments that made a house feel like home. She enjoyed knitting and lovingly made many things for her grandchildren, creating gifts that carried her care in every stitch. She especially treasured spending time with her family and welcoming them into her home for meals, where conversation, laughter, and togetherness were always close at hand. She also shared memorable trips to Las Vegas and Aruba with her husband. Teresa loved relaxing with her favorite shows, including Outlander, which had just returned in April and which she was able to finish, as well as Dexter, Game of Thrones, and Landman. She idolized and adored Alanis Morissette and her music.
Above all, Teresa will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family. She is survived by her husband, James Kleffel; her mother, Sallie (Mahaney) Roberts; her children, Timothy Kleffel and his wife Taylor, Julia Quinlan and her husband Sean, and Jimmy Kleffel; her bonus children, Denise Fetter and her husband Clayton, Michael Kleffel and his wife Tanya, and Jaime Gruber. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, CJ Fetter, Syre Gruber, Eve Fetter, Evyn Gruber, Madyx Gruber, Madison Meyers, Olyvia Beretto, and Zephyr Quinlan. Teresa is also survived by her brothers, Michael Kimpland, Steven Kimpland, Kennedy Roberts, and Greg Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael G. Kimpland, and her sister, Deborah Slaver.
A celebration of Teresa's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Teresa's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society.
Teresa’s memory will live on in the family she cherished, the home she filled with warmth, and the many lives she touched through her kindness, humor, and love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
