Verna M. Zerbe

Verna M. Zerbe, 96, formerly of Jefferson Twp., passed away Saturday, March 26th in Berks Heim.

Born in Jefferson Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harry Zerbe and Mary (Althouse) Zerbe.

She was a member of St. John's Reed's Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg.

She was employed as a sewing machine operator for the Bernville Shoe Factory for thirty five years.

Surviving is a son, Dennis Zerbe and wife Shirley of Robesonia.

There are three grandchildren, Tammy L. Zerbe and companion Ronald Sweigart, Jr. and Mark D. Zerbe both of Robesonia and Amy J. Zerbe and companion Timothy Bitner of Blandon.

Also, a great grandson Patrick Sweigart.

She has many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1st at 10:30 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Fred Allen officiating.


A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 am until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in St. John's Reed's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
