Wilbur R. "Buddy" Ellis

October 19, 1936 — August 9, 2016

Wilbur R. "Buddy" Ellis, 79, of Fleetwood passed away Tuesday, August 9th in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.

Buddy was married to Betty J. (Snyder) Ellis for forty two years.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late George Ellis and Maize (Epler) Ellis.

He graduated from West Reading High School then honorably served his country in the Air Force.

He was a draftsman since 1955 working for numerous major architects, most recently for Masciotti Custom Architecture in Reading.

Additional survivors include his children, John R. Ellis and wife Noreen of Harrisburg, Daniel G. Ellis and companion Ashley Volling of Pottstown, and Michael E. Ellis of Fleetwood.

There are two grandchildren, Briana Viens, wife of Brian and Corey Ellis.

Also, two great grandchildren Riley and Jackson Viens

He is survived by his siblings, Donald Ellis and wife June of Temple, Richard Ellis, widower of Joan of Sinking Spring, Sherwood Ellis of Florida, and Betty J. Rickert, widow of Marlin of Lansdale.

He is predeceased by six siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 15th at 11 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Bruce Potteiger officiating.

A viewing be held on Monday morning from 10 until 11 am in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens where military honors will be conducted by Topton American legion Honor Guard, Post 217.
