William F. "Bill" Klein

William “Bill” F. Klein, 86, of Ontelaunee Township, passed away September 3, 2022 in the Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 10, 1935, he was a son to the late William Klein. Bill was the husband of the late Elinor J. (Schlegel) Klein.

Bill was a 1953 graduate of Reading High School. He was employed by East Penn Manufacturing for 30 years where he worked as a Salesman until his retirement in 2000. Most recently, Bill was employed by the Ontelauntee Township as the Township Supervisor. He held a lifetime membership at Marion Fire Company and enjoyed golfing in his free time. He served as President of the Central Berks Lions Club from 2005-2007. Most of all, Bill was an avid racing fan; He worked alongside his son, Jeffery, helping QMK Motor Sports of Media for many years. Lastly on the Murphy/Klein Racing Team.

Bill is survived by his companion of 18 years, Nancy Glasmyre. Also surviving is a daughter, Jane L. Lauer, wife of Randy, of Birdsboro; Daughter in law, Cathy J. (Weldin) Klein; grandchildren, William “Billy” Klein, companion of Krista Baird, Cynthia “Cindy” Klein and one great granddaughter, Emery Jayde Klein.

Bill was predeceased by one son, Jeffrey W. Klein.

A viewing will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 9, 2022 at 12:00 pm in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd, Reading, PA 19606.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bill’s name may be made to the Cityteam Chester, P.O. Box 89, Media, PA 19063.
