Gloria M. (Hunt) Davis

Gloria M. Davis, 90, a lifelong resident of Temple, passed away Thursday, November 18th in Tower Health, Reading Hospital.

Gloria was married to the late Charles Robert Davis who passed away September 14, 1998.

She was the daughter of the late Mitchell Hunt and Eleanor (Proctor) Hunt.

Gloria graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1950. She was a License Practical Nurse at Wernersville State Hospital for twenty-eight years retiring in 1992.

Gloria was a member of Spring Valley Church of God.

Gloria was the matriarch of the family.  She loved her family very much and they loved her.

Gloria was very loving, caring, giving, and supportive to everyone. She embraced everyone as her family.

She had a green thumb and enjoyed growing plants.

She loved her pet dogs, especially “Pup”, who was with her for eighteen years.

Surviving are six children, Cheryl L. Priebe of Laureldale, Robin L. Shoemaker, widow of Ranzy S. Shoemaker of Muhlenberg Twp., Robert H. Jeter of Temple, Marc T. Jeter of Hyde Park, Jon L. Jeter, husband of Lauren Butler Jeter of Sinking Spring, and Sean M. Davis of Muhlenberg Twp.

There are ten grandchildren, Jesse and Keith Blanco, Derick DeAngelo, Chad, Brooke, Kevin, Whitney, and Jordan Jeter, Sheneka Gregory, and Jason Jeter.

There are thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 23rd at 11 am in Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Rd., Temple, PA 19560 with Pastor Robert Hinson officiating.

A viewing will be held in the church on Tuesday morning from 10 am until 11 am.

Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
