Katie Mae Dunkelberger, 83, passed away Tuesday in Berks Heim.

Katie was married to the late Raymond S. Dunkelberger.

Born in Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Melvin O. Spease, Sr. and Myrtle A. (Manwiller) Spease.

She was predeceased by a son, Glen P. Dunkelberger and survived by Glen’s wife Debbie.

She is survived by four siblings, William A. Spease of Bernville, Mary J. Harner of Reading, Barbara A. Bressler of Bernville, and Myrtle H. Oxenreider of Robesonia.

There are three predeceased siblings, Melvin O. Spease, Jr., June A. Hollenbach, and Arlene M. Snyder.

She was formerly a member of Christ Little Tulpehocken Church.

In earlier years, Katie was employed for the former Globe Mills in Leesport.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

The Kirkhoff Funeral Home in Bernville is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
