Leonard Michael Simmons passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24th, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Simmons in 2015.

Len was born on August 20th, 1950 to Leonard and Agnes Simmons.

He went to Reading High School and graduated from Penn State University.

He was a skilled machinist working for Special T Design and the Dana Corporation.

Len loved animals especially horses, cats and dogs.

His favorite hobby was competitive sharp shooting.  He was a member of the Marine Corps League of Pennsylvania, Inc., Russel M. Butterweck Detachment.

Len is lovingly remembered by his son Michael Simmons, his partner Janelle Fenstermacher and her children Ty and Chase.  His brother Alan Simmons and wife Veronica and their children Daniel and Anne.  Also, his step-son Kevin Martorana and wife Sondra.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held with the family on Saturday, January 8th in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA beginning at 10:30 am and ending promptly at Noon.

Interment will happen immediately after the service at the St. John’s Gernant's Church,
13 Gernants Church Road, Leesport, PA, just for family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508.
