Robert L. Klein Jr.

January 12, 1956 — June 25, 2021

Robert L. Klein Jr., 65, of Bernville, went home to be with his best friend, Jesus, on June 25, 2021 at UPMC West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg.

Born on January 12, 1956, he was a son to the late Robert L. Klein Sr. and Audrey (Myers) Klein. Rob was a 1973 graduate of Mt. Penn High School. He was the husband of Jill M. (Eisenbrown) Klein.

Rob was very active in children’s ministry for the past 38 years, most recently at St. Thomas Church in Bernville. He taught children’s Sunday school and was a “Crew Leader” at VBS. His happiest times serving Jesus were at Hopewell Summer Camp at Tel Hai in Elverson. His greatest joy in life was serving Jesus and bringing others to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. He was also a worship leader at St. Thomas Church in Bernville. Rob was an accomplished musician having played guitar and bass guitar in several bands. Rob was never shy about sharing his faith and will be greatly missed by all the lives he has touched.

Rob was a very loving man and loved by so many. In addition to his loving wife, Jill, and his mother, Audrey, Rob is survived by his children, Charity L. Atkins, wife of John M. Jr., of Reading, Dustin A. Dean of Shillington, Raven M. Robinson, wife of Elisha K., of Reading and Justin Gresh of Tucson, AZ. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Abigail K. Atkins, Liam J. Atkins, Alyssa M. Dean, Julia L. Dean, Dylan T. Dean, Gracie E. Dean – Garipoli, Aneliese F. Robinson and Mackenzie E. Robinson; one sister, Connie Colosimo, wife of Gary; one sister-in-law, Ronda Klein and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert L. Klein, Sr., and one brother, Jeffrey Klein.

A celebration of Rob’s life will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10:00 am in St. Thomas Church, 536 N Main St, Bernville, PA 19506, with Pastor Paul Auckland officiating.

A memorial scholarship fund in Rob’s name will be set up at Hopewell Summer Camps. Any memorial donations made in Rob’s name may be sent to Hopewell Summer Camps, 565 Airport Road, New Holland, PA 17557.
