Robert L. Sels

Robert L. Sels, 87, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on February 5, 2020 at Reading Hospital. Born on December 5, 1932 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Hollis and Jessie (Baylor) Sels.

He is survived by his wife, Vanita I. (Fincham) Sels of sixty-three years and two children; Linda M., wife of Douglas L. Haas, Dolgeville, NY and Robert A. Sels, Seattle, WA. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, with two on the way.

Robert was employed as an Electrical Engineer for AT&T. He was also a board member for the Muhlenberg School District from 1963-1991, where he served as treasurer, secretary and president. As a member of the Muhlenberg Vo Tech School, he served as treasurer and chairman from 1971-1979. From 1981-1983 he was an Explorer Scout Leader.

Funeral services will be held at Laureldale Cemetery in the chapel, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605 on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 10:30. There will be a visitation for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
